Ashborne Saga
★★★★★ 4.5
Ashborne Saga is a proper story-driven RPG that respects your time. Battles are turn-based, your party of four has distinct roles, and the writing in the main quest is a cut above what mobile RPGs usually bother with. Side characters actually have voices of their own.
Combat leans on positioning and elemental matchups rather than just raw numbers. Swapping a healer's position to pull them out of an area attack is the kind of decision you make constantly. Auto-battle exists for grind, but the boss fights want your full attention.
The one catch is a slow early chapter. Push past the first two hours and it opens into something genuinely engaging. Save your upgrade materials early, you'll want them for the mid-game spike.
